A Weekend at Lake Geneva

A couple of weekends ago, we jumped in our minivan and headed to Lake Geneva resort for an AmFam-sponsored, work-filled weekend for Ashley and a fun weekend for Bryan and Katie.

Katie and Gianna loved the waterpark. And Bryan loved spending time with the girls! If you disregard the insane Saturday night when 1) our roommate went the ER for a potential heart attack and 2) when Katie screamed and cried from 1am-3am...we had a nice retreat!

(Luckily, Curt only had a case of isolated pnemonia. However, the inept ER workers had to run 2 EKGs because the first one didn't work. Hopefully they don't charge Curt for both of them!).

Make Your Brunch Look Pretty

Jeannie and Gianna came over for brunch today. We kept things easy with 2 dishes.

I love how Jeannie arranged her banana bread pieces between the fruits!


I made an egg and ham bake using this recipie. Honestly, I totally cheated; last week, I made 2 casserole dishes of the recepie. We ate one immediately, and I froze the 2nd dish to use for today. The heating-up process only took 20 minutes, and the dish was delicious!


And finally--our family room after 2 toddlers tore through it.

Saturday night we went trick or treating for the first time with Katie and her friends. Three kids under the age of two. We had a monkey (Katie), a lion (Gianna) and a turtle (Peyton). All the kids as well as us adults enjoyed the time out together.

Gianna's 2nd B-day party

Saturday, we attended Gianna's 2nd birthday party. We brought along two kids and one in the womb. We got to babysit Peyton all day. He was a stud, the only boy at the party. Odds 1:6. Doesn't get much better then that Peyton.

Ebert's Farm Part 1: The Monster and the Lion

We met the Puccis at Ebert's Farm over the weekend. Katie and Gianna enjoyed spending the afternoon in the wagon. We went to story time, petted the animals, and played on the slide.

Katie and Gianna did such a good job playing together! Katie showed Gianna her toys, and they shared well (until they got tired of each other :).

A Fun Afternoon with Gianna

Gianna (about 17 months) and Katie are getting to be good friends! (So are Ashley and Jeannie--especially if Jeannie keeps making amazing guacamole!) We walked to a park, played on the swings, and petted 2 big labradors. Then, we went back to the Pucci home where Katie had a long nap--her best nap in a while!

Katie had her first playdate with a girl--Gianna Pucci! Gianna is 16 months, and together they played with the bouncer, the piano, and the dog. Gianna sang Patty Cake to Katie and Katie watched her eat a whole sweet potato.

I had a fabulous time with Jeannie! Next time, the boys are watching the kids and the ladies are going shopping!
